Remote First

Nineteen out of twenty tickets never needed a van

We rebuilt the company around that observation rather than treating remote support as an overflow option.

Remote support is not a lesser version of onsite support. For the overwhelming majority of business IT work it is simply faster, and after twenty-two years we are confident enough in that to have stopped offering the alternative.

Consider the arithmetic. An onsite provider receives your ticket at 9:15 and schedules someone for the afternoon window because the morning is already committed. A technician arrives at 1:40, spends fifteen minutes understanding a problem they have not seen before, and resolves it by 2:20. Total elapsed time, five hours. The same ticket handled remotely by a technician who already knows your environment is typically resolved before 9:30.

What we can do remotely

Nearly everything. Software installation and configuration, Windows and application troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 and email problems, printer and peripheral configuration, VPN and connectivity, malware remediation, user account management, server administration, firewall and network changes, performance diagnosis, and data recovery from healthy drives. In practice, roughly nineteen of every twenty tickets we receive never needed anyone physically present.

What genuinely requires hands

Failed power supplies. Physically damaged screens. Dead drives that need to reach a recovery lab. A switch that must be swapped. Cabling. For these we coordinate a local vendor, brief them precisely on what is needed, and manage the work on your behalf. Their charges are quoted before anything is scheduled. You are not left searching for someone yourself, and you are not paying our travel time because there is none.

How your staff reach us

Three routes. Email to the support address, which creates a ticket immediately. A phone line answered by technicians during business hours. And a lightweight agent on managed machines that opens a support session with a single click, which is where most staff end up because it skips the description problem entirely: we see the screen rather than reading an approximation of it.

Security during a session

Sessions are initiated by your employee and require their approval to begin. Everything is encrypted and logged. Your staff see exactly what is happening on screen throughout and can terminate the session at any moment. Unattended access to servers and shared machines is configured deliberately and separately, never enabled quietly across your whole fleet.

Scope

What is included

Everything below is part of the service rather than an upsell discovered later.

Same-business-day human response

Every request gets a person the same business day. Most are answered within the hour during business hours.

One-click session start

A lightweight agent on managed machines means your staff connect to a technician without describing a problem in prose first.

Identical service in all 50 states

An employee working from home in Ohio receives exactly the same support as someone at your headquarters.

Encrypted and logged sessions

Employee-initiated, visible on screen throughout, terminable at any point, and logged for your records.

No travel charges, ever

There is no drive time to bill because there is no drive. This is a structural saving rather than a promotional one.

Local hands coordinated when needed

For genuinely physical work we brief and manage a local vendor on your behalf, with charges quoted in advance.

Common questions

What if my internet is completely down?

Then we work by phone. We walk you through checking the modem, router and ISP status, and if the fault is with your provider we contact them on your behalf with the account details we already hold. Internet outages are one of the few categories where remote support is genuinely constrained, and we are upfront about that.

Do you support employees working from home?

Yes, and it is one of the strongest arguments for this model. Home-based staff receive exactly the same service as anyone in your main office, which is rarely true with an onsite-first provider.

Can you help outside business hours?

Crew Care clients have after-hours emergency coverage for genuine outages. Routine requests outside business hours are queued for the next business morning.
