How We Work
No mystery, no discovery process that quietly bills for itself. Here is the sequence, the timeline, and what is expected from you at each stage.
Sequence
Fifteen minutes. What is breaking, how many people you have, what you spend now, and whether we are even the right shape for your business. If we are not, we say so here.
We assess endpoints, servers, your Microsoft 365 tenant, backups, network configuration and security posture, then deliver written findings. Free, and yours to keep regardless of what happens next.
A flat monthly number, a fix-first list ranked by risk against cost, and an explicit line between what the plan covers and what is a separate project.
Tooling deployment, documentation, the fix-first list, and introductions so your staff know exactly who to contact and how.
Less than most providers ask for, but not nothing. During the Depth Check we need administrative access to your Microsoft 365 tenant and your domain, physical or remote access to any servers, and roughly ninety minutes of someone’s time who knows how the business actually runs. Not the org chart, the real workflow.
During onboarding we need a decision-maker available for short questions, and a half-hour window to introduce ourselves to your staff. That introduction matters more than it sounds. Employees who know who to contact open tickets early, when problems are small.
Weeks one and two are deployment and documentation. Weeks three through six are usually the fix-first list, which is where the visible improvement happens. Somewhere around week eight the ticket volume drops noticeably as the recurring problems stop recurring. At the end of the quarter we run the first Chart Review and show you what changed with actual numbers rather than adjectives.
Tier one handles the majority of day-to-day requests. Anything beyond that goes to tier two, then to the network or security lead, all inside Ocean Computers. Your ticket does not leave the company at any point. There is no third-party escalation tier where things go quiet for two days.
What We Promise
Written into the agreement rather than implied on a website.
Every support request receives a response from a person the same business day. In practice, most are answered within the hour during business hours.
Servers, network hardware and endpoints are monitored around the clock. Many infrastructure tickets originate on our side before you notice anything.
Crew Care clients reach an on-call technician for genuine outages. We do not claim a fully staffed 24/7 phone room, because that would not be true.
Windows and third-party patching runs on a defined schedule with reporting you can hand to an auditor or a cyber insurance underwriter.
A structured leadership review covering incidents, changes, security posture, aging equipment and budget recommendations. Included, not upsold.
Your environment is documented continuously and the documentation is yours. If you leave, it goes with you in a usable format.
For most businesses under fifty users, roughly two weeks from signed agreement to fully deployed. The first week covers tooling deployment and documentation. The second covers the fix-first list from your Depth Check and introductions to your staff. Larger or messier environments can run three to four weeks, and we will tell you which one you are during the assessment rather than afterward.
Three ways: email to the support address, a phone line answered by our technicians during business hours, and a desktop agent installed on managed machines that opens a session with one click. Most staff settle on the desktop agent within a month because it is the fastest of the three.
Crew Care clients have an emergency line for genuine outages, meaning something that stops the business rather than something inconvenient. Our monitoring runs continuously regardless, so infrastructure failures frequently generate a ticket on our side before anyone at your office is aware of them.
A recurring meeting with your leadership, typically quarterly, where we walk through what broke, what we changed, what your security posture looks like, what is aging out, and what we recommend budgeting for over the next two quarters. It runs about forty-five minutes and it is included.
We coordinate a local vendor, brief them on exactly what is needed, and manage the work on your behalf. You are not left to find someone yourself. Their charges are billed separately and quoted before anything is scheduled.

The assessment is free, takes about a week, and the written findings are yours whether or not you continue.
