Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it. Last updated January 2026.

Who we are

Ocean Computers, Inc. is an IT services company based in San Diego, California. You can reach us by phone at (858) 429-1311 or through the contact form on our website with any question about this policy.

What we collect

When you submit a form on this site we collect the information you enter: your name, company, phone number, email address, approximate team size and whatever you write in the message field. We also record which page the form was submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you decided to contact us.

Our web host records standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages requested. These are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver services. That is the entire purpose. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not use your information to target you elsewhere.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or share it with third parties for their marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked a question. If you contact us and decide not to proceed, your information sits in our records and nothing further happens with it.

Who processes data on our behalf

Form submissions are delivered through a third-party form processor, which handles the message in transit to our inbox. Our email is hosted with Microsoft. Our website is served by a commercial hosting provider. Each of these processes data only to provide their service to us.

Client data

If you become a client, we necessarily have access to systems containing your business data. That access is governed by our services agreement, and where applicable by a business associate agreement or equivalent. We access client systems only to deliver the services you have engaged us for. Technician access is logged.

Retention

Enquiries that do not become clients are retained for two years and then deleted. Client records are retained for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterward, which reflects ordinary business and tax record requirements.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us through the form on our website and we will respond within thirty days. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honor those regardless of residency.

Cookies

This site uses only what is necessary to function. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that follow you across other websites.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
