Crew Desk

The help desk your employees will actually use

A support line staffed by US-based technicians who already know how your environment is built. No scripts, no tier-one gatekeeping, no ticket that quietly ages for three days.

Crew Desk

A help desk nobody avoids using

The best signal of a working help desk is rising ticket volume in month one, followed by a steady decline as recurring problems stop recurring.

The measure of a help desk is not its response time on paper. It is whether your employees bother to use it. A help desk that feels like an obstacle produces silence, and silence means problems grow quietly until they are expensive.

We have taken over environments where the previous provider had excellent published response times and almost no ticket volume, and the reason was straightforward: staff had learned that opening a ticket meant repeating their entire setup to a stranger, being asked to reboot, and waiting two days. So they stopped. They worked around the broken thing, or they asked the one colleague who was good with computers, who then lost several hours a week to unofficial IT work.

What removes the friction

Continuity, mostly. Your account has a named crew, so the technician answering already knows you run Sage on a terminal server and that the front desk machine has a scanner with a temperamental driver. Nobody asks your bookkeeper to explain your network topology. That single fact changes how willing people are to call.

The second factor is not rationing. Under Crew Care, help desk requests are unlimited. Nobody is counting against a retainer, so nobody hesitates over whether a problem is worth logging. Small problems get reported while they are still small, which is the entire economic argument for the model.

What we handle daily

Password resets and account lockouts. Outlook and Microsoft 365 issues. Printers, which remain stubbornly the highest-volume category in almost every business. VPN and remote access. Software installation and licensing. File and permission problems. Mobile device email setup. Performance complaints. New employee setup and departing employee lockout. Application errors in QuickBooks, Sage and industry-specific software.

Escalation that stays in-house

When something exceeds tier one it moves to tier two, then to the network or security lead, entirely within Ocean Computers. There is no third-party escalation tier where tickets go quiet. The person who takes over has access to the same documentation as the person who started, which is why handoffs do not cost you a re-explanation.

Scope

What is included

Everything below is part of the service rather than an upsell discovered later.

Unlimited requests under Crew Care

No counting, no retainer drawdown, no hesitation about whether something is worth reporting.

Technicians who know your setup

A named crew holds your documentation. Nobody asks your office manager to describe the network.

Three ways to reach us

Email, phone during business hours, or one-click session from the desktop agent. Staff use whichever suits them.

Employee onboarding and offboarding

New hires set up and productive on day one. Departures locked out the same hour, with a documented record.

Line-of-business application support

We support the software your business actually runs on, not only the Microsoft stack.

In-house escalation only

Tier one to tier two to the network or security lead, all inside Ocean Computers. Your ticket never leaves the company.

Common questions

Can our employees contact you directly, or does it route through a manager?

Directly. Requiring staff to route requests through an office manager creates a bottleneck and discourages reporting. Your staff contact us; we keep leadership informed through the quarterly Chart Review rather than by intercepting every request.

What are your help desk hours?

Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm Pacific. Crew Care clients also have after-hours emergency coverage for genuine outages.

Do you support personal devices?

For business use, yes, within reason. We will configure email and access on a personal phone or laptop that is used for work. We do not troubleshoot an employee's home gaming setup, and we help you set a sensible policy about where that line sits.
