Crew Care
Managed IT services, without the IT department
Crew Care is a complete outsourced IT function for businesses between roughly five and two hundred and fifty employees. Monitoring, patching, help desk, security, vendor management and planning, at a flat monthly cost per user.
Crew Care
An IT department that costs less than one salary
For most businesses, a full managed plan costs less than employing a single junior technician, and covers considerably more ground.
Most of our clients did not set out to buy managed IT. They set out to stop losing hours every week to problems nobody owned. The office manager had quietly become the help desk. Nobody was certain whether the backups worked. Somebody was still using a password from 2019 on an account with access to everything, and the person who set up the server had left the company in 2021 without documenting anything.
Crew Care replaces that with a defined operation. A named crew is assigned to your account. Monitoring goes on every endpoint and server. Patching runs on a schedule with reporting. Security tooling gets deployed and configured rather than installed and forgotten. And your staff get somewhere to go when something breaks, which means problems surface while they are still small.
What flat pricing actually changes
Hourly IT creates an incentive problem that nobody involved enjoys. Your provider earns more when your systems fail, and you hesitate to call about small issues because the meter is running. Small issues then become large ones. We have walked into more than one environment where a failing drive was noticed months before it took the server down, and nobody called because it did not seem worth the hourly rate.
Flat monthly pricing inverts that. We are paid the same whether your month was quiet or catastrophic, which means a quiet month is straightforwardly better for us. Your staff call about the small thing because calling costs nothing. We fix the small thing before it becomes the large thing. Everyone's incentives point the same direction, which is a surprisingly rare property in this industry.
What we take over
Everything in the day-to-day operation of your environment: endpoint and server monitoring, Windows and third-party patching, Microsoft 365 tenant administration, backup verification and test restores, network and firewall management, security tooling, employee onboarding and offboarding, and coordination with your other technology vendors. When your phone system provider needs a firewall change, we handle that conversation rather than forwarding it to you.
What stays yours
Your hardware and your licenses, purchased in your name. Your documentation, maintained by us and yours to take if you leave. Your decisions, because we recommend and explain but we do not spend your money without approval. Projects outside the plan are quoted before they start.
The quarterly rhythm
Every quarter we run a Chart Review with your leadership. It covers what broke and why, what we changed, where your security posture stands, what equipment is aging out, and what we recommend budgeting for over the next two quarters. It takes about forty-five minutes, it is included, and it is the meeting that turns IT from an unpredictable expense into a planned one.
Scope
What is included
Everything below is part of the service rather than an upsell discovered later.
Continuous monitoring
Every endpoint and server monitored around the clock, with alerting that reaches a technician rather than an empty inbox.
Scheduled patch management
Windows and third-party patching on a defined schedule, with reporting suitable for an auditor or a cyber insurance application.
Unlimited remote help desk
Your staff contact us directly, as often as needed, without anyone tracking increments against a retainer.
Microsoft 365 administration
Tenant configuration, licensing review, mail flow, security policy and the cleanup of whatever accumulated before we arrived.
Backup verification
Image-level backup monitored daily with restores tested on a schedule, because a backup nobody has restored from is untested.
Security tooling
Multi-factor authentication, endpoint detection and response, email filtering and DNS protection, deployed and actually configured.
Vendor coordination
We speak to your line-of-business software vendors, your ISP and your phone provider so your team does not have to translate.
Quarterly Chart Review
A structured leadership meeting covering incidents, changes, posture, aging equipment and budget guidance. Included.
Common questions
Is there really no limit on support requests?
Correct. Crew Care includes unlimited remote help desk for your staff. We do not track increments or ration requests, because a plan that discourages people from calling produces exactly the behavior we are trying to eliminate.
What if we already have someone internal?
That works well. A number of our clients keep an internal person for floor support and use us for infrastructure, security, escalation and planning. It reduces the plan cost and gives your internal person a team to escalate to instead of a search engine.
Do you support Macs?
Yes, though our depth is on the Windows side. We manage Macs in mixed environments, handle Microsoft 365 on macOS and support Apple hardware for everyday business use. A design studio running entirely on Macs would be better served by a Mac specialist.
How fast can you take over from our current provider?
Usually two weeks from signed agreement, longer if the outgoing provider is slow to release credentials or documentation. We handle that transition directly rather than putting you in the middle of it.
